AEE
Trina Jones, Founder and CEO
Trina Jones was inspired to start this consulting business based on her personal experience as a mother seeking academic and behavioral support services and accommodations for her children. Having children with a variety of learning and behavioral concerns that needed to be addressed, she understands the feelings of confusion, frustration, and, at times, total despair you can experience pursuing help for you and your child. As a parent, she experienced firsthand many of the calls about the behavior meltdowns, disruptive behavior in the classroom, issues with authority figures and peers, along with a lack of interest in academic achievement. She knows what it feels like to leave a child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) meeting feeling confused, discouraged, and as a parent, as if she was in some way failing her child. With over 12 years of advocacy on my behalf and others, she offers you the benefit of her knowledge and experience. She cam assist you with IEP, 504 planning, school record review, in-person advocacy, school district liaison, Orton Gillingham Tutoring, along with local community resources and services.

and we love them for it.
"AEE encouraged me to learn my child’s learning style, which helped me advocate for my child’s best interest in school. I was able to help my child with his homework once I understood his learning style in a positive and successful manner.
"AEE was very knowledgeable, efficient, and good at communicating with me and keeping me informed on what my rights were. They were very professional, and I cannot be happier with the results. Thanks to them my son now has an IEP and has a better chance to be able to succeed in school. Thank you, AEE!"

"Having AEE as an advocate for my child's IEP team was a lifesaver. They are attentive, detail-oriented, and she knows the special education laws. AEE suggested alternative assessments for my child's school to administer a more accurate picture of my child's strengths and needs."
Advocates for Educational Excellence saved me and my child’s relationship. My daughter has dyslexia and ADHD and we were not only having academic concerns but also behavioral issues. Not only did AEE help me get the appropriate accommodations for my daughter but they also spent time with my daughter teaching her ways to advocate for herself and how to communicate with me in a respectful manner. AEE helped my daughter rebuild her confidence and become more organized with her school work and her chores. AEE referred my daughter to organizations and resources that we are still a part of today. I am beyond thankful.
